Re: 70 Baldwin Motion Chevelle
Pantera, to add to your story, my Grandfather had a car lot in the 70's and told me stories 20 years ago about how he had 2 Hemi cars (Charger/GTX, neither in great shape) in 73/74 that he literally couldn't give away! He ended up taking them to an auction to unload them.

Re: 70 Baldwin Motion Chevelle
-------One thing I would have any input on concerning Motion cars is that their value went down as the distance from New York went up back in the day. Yes, there was a bunch of nation-wide PR on Motions back in the day but I believe thier value diminished greatly far away from N.Y.C.! Pantera just backs up my theory. Im not talking "new" as there were a few hearty souls that were from who knows where that wrote the big check, but once used the value went way down away from home, so to speak. Then all of a sudden its like they were discovered like a starlet at a coffee shop.
-------Even though Im not particularly a Motion fan I have to admire the guys that stuck with the Motion cars and aura. I know they are happy campers today!!!........Bill S |
Re: 70 Baldwin Motion Chevelle
In response to the original question. I know of 3 legit 1970 BM Chevelles. Two are Forest Green with one being a 4 speed, and the other is an auto. There is also a white one in FL.

Re: 70 Baldwin Motion Chevelle
I remember a white BM chevelle for sale in Hemmings back in the late 90s.It was in long storage in Florida and the asking price was in the 30K range.Bought my car instead for about half that but really considered it...

Re: 70 Baldwin Motion Chevelle
You know it is funny you say all of a sudden they are valuable. I have owned my cars for so many years that I had parked them in the back of the shop and kinda forgot about them. I was and still am proud of having a one owner 73 Pantera.
I was heavy into Valkyrie Motorcycles when one day I saw a blurb about Motion on the Supercar forum. You just can't imagine how excited I was to find out that someone was that interested in the cars from back then much less that they were worth very much. I had got to the point that I never tried to tell anyone about my moton cars because of the blank look on their faces. Now I have not rode my bike in a entire year. I am so glad to have found this forum. Pantera |
