Mr Gasser. Look on your GM of Canada micro film. After your paint code 72 72 there will be a five diget number (example 85782) That is your dealer #. What does yours read?

Re: Belated feature car

Not sure if Belmont is still around. Best bet would be to contct Frank Naples. His car was sold there and he did a pretty extensive search on his car and the history. I'll e-mail his # to you.

Re: Belated feature car

Belmont Chevrolet does not exist anymore. It use to be located just west of Jane Street on Lawerance Ave. here in Toronto. A very good friend of mind was the Sales Manager there before it closed.I knew the Dealership from the mid sixties and know that more Muscle cars were sold there including Copo cars than most people think. Alot of these cars are still around but as owners would be unaware unless they get a GM Document and some are in the U.S.A. and have been there for quite some time. I personally bought one of the first five 70 Chevelle LS6 cars that came to Canada and still have the vin to verify. This car is in Nova Scotia now and the owner doesn't know it was and LS6 because the car was sold in the early ninties with a 454 LS7 crate eng. in it. I have come across many cars were there owners were proud of them but didn't have a clue about how rare the car was. There is still alot of "Buried Treasure" here in Canada and every so often someone stumbles across " Copo Gold".
