Looks like 'kenbrogan' was none too happy with what he found out here, since he's made no replies.

You're probably right. I kinda wondered. I also wanted to see a pic or 2 of the car as well.

just as an FYI, not all cars were numbered with 154 (V8) on the trim tag. I have a '66 Biscayne that was originally a 6cyl/3on the tree that I have converted into a L72/4speed/12 bolt. I have never attempted to change the original trim or vin tags and they both indicate 153 (6 cyl). Not sure if the Baltimore plant where my car was built did it differently than other plants. Tags are below.

Few if any of the internet engine suffix lists include 6-cylinder engines, but some of the old parts books do. I just pulled out the 10/1/1965 "Illustration and Special Information Catalog" and it says that in the 66 model year code FA was a 250 c.i. 6-cylinder with a manual transmission in a full size passenger car (Impala, Belair, Biscayne).

So your VIN tag says it was a 6-cylinder car, and your POP says it was a 6-cylinder car. At least the POP is real!

1966 Biscayne question

Thank You everyone for your assistance. Now I know what I have here. The parts on this car are all L72 correct with correct dates. Somebody spent a great deal of time and money putting this together.

Great attention to detail. But, the exhaust manifolds don't appear to be correct...
