The original clip nuts on my '67 Feb LOS built are hex. I have a set of the replacements from OER and the bolt seems under-size, as it wobbles in the barrel and the threads are shallow in the barrel as well. I can see where they aren't going to hold much torque.
One of my original bolts cross threaded in a nut too and the bolt is trash. I was going to use 1 replacement clip nut and bolt, but not now. I will re-thread the nut, but will need a bolt, as the replacement bolt is loose in the original nuts too. |
