And the type and lettering are incredibly bold and black and in mint condition, while the paper looks like the dead sea scrolls - hilarious fake.

So is the car real?

As MRays reported here a couple months back, this car Bid to $100,000 but No Sale at the 05/24 Mecum Auction, link here… https://www.mecum.com/lots/1115141/1...camaro-ss-l89/ Check out this 1997 YouTube video of subject vehicle before restoration… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVUqj1qz4HE VIN 124378N472754 :beers: ~ Pete . |
I remember seeing this car for sale some years ago by We Be Autos and I could never get a good look at the stamp and broach marks. Car looked really nice though. I will see if I can find the video.
Could this be the same car? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMJ-p7Rz67w Here is the video I saw some years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiB1Tg6o46I Paul |

Took a quick look for Old Newspaper Ads by Delivering Dealer Lou Awald Chevy, close but no luck w/ subject L89 although lots of Ads for other great cars that rolled through their operation. :beers: ~ Pete . |
A Shipping Report would confirm the dealer that ordered this Camaro. The window sticker would have the same dealer's name on it as the shipping report. That wouldn't confirm much, but a different dealer name on the shipping report would be a knockout punch.

WS is a bad fake that wasn't with the car til recently.
I think the engine and trans are restamps. POP may be real. |
Oh my.

Car has a letter from Bob Harris from about 1998 when it was restored. Documents original L-89 and original protecto plate, but nothing about the drivetrain or window sticker.
