I didn't have great luck with mine like everyone else.

Mine leaked all over my newly painted Intake. The float bowls weren't mine, I asked for all of my own parts to be used, and I was assured they would be. For almost $500 , I was hoping for at least very good.

I find that story a little hard to digest. Most all reputable builders test their carbs, Phil being one of them.

I think there is more to this story. Seems very unlikely that this leaked as stated. First post is very odd especially since I just spoke to Phil and he would be more than happy to resolve this issue. He has never been contacted about this issue and has asked you contact him directly. BTW float leakage is primarily caused by fuel pumps putting out 8+ lbs of pressure so it could be on your side.

Wow, what a great first post

I appreciate everyone's replies. Fuel pump replaced 5 years ago, tested perfect recently.

I went by all the great things said, and like I said before, I had different luck. Not looking to hurt someone's business. I'm just telling the guys looking to rebuild their old carb , like myslelf, that perfection is not guaranteed. There really isn't more to the story. The carb failed. Different parts were used upon assembly when my own parts were guaranteed. Opportunity was given to straighten things out. My missing parts were never given back. I had to fix the leaks myself by ordering new parts. These are the facts. It's not the same story as everyone else. I really wish it was, to the point it was expected ! This was to help the shop and the consumer, not hurt. All my friends use him. I didn't even tell them because I'm not looking for them to change course.

Thanks for the follow up post.

Just got back from another trip to see the best carb man in the business Phil. Took my very sick Holley 3245 for a nice restoration. Again, Phil put it on the machine to check how it functions with me watching. Highly recommend this company.

Follow up. Just a few pictures of the 3245 after carb Dr Phil worked his magic with a street show rebuild. This place is the best. I highly recommend this place for all your carburetor needs and he has a complete inventory if you're looking for dated or non-dated carbs for your application. True Blessing to have this guy in our Hobby.

Per Eric Jackson on his Vintage Muscle Car Parts Facebook site, Phil's shop was very badly damaged in the hurricane. Eric has been in contact with Phil and he and his family are ok. He said he would rebuild. Prayers to Phil and his family.
