Thanks, will let you know.

I used Duracool instead of 134 and R12 for years. Worked much better than 134, and was compatible with all systems.

I think it takes 3.5 lbs. from full evacuation. I have a 20lb. cylinder. From the time I sold my '68 an older gentlemen in 2001 and bought it back from him several years ago he had converted it to 134A and it is definitely not as efficient.
I need to contact him to see if he only evacuated and recharged. IF that is all he did I will likely put the R-12 back in it since I have it. The prices for it are crazy... |

Hi all, I put hands on a few cans; this is what I have at the moment.
2X 14oz cans and 3X 12oz cans, total of 64oz - that's 4 pounds. Tom, the OP here, gets first dibs today, if he passes, I'll post a for sale ad. Cheers all, Anthony |
My wife’s uncle gave me a 1/2size standard bbq size tank of refrigerant and I have no clue if it’s the old stuff. It is turquoise in color. It was never used. It’s old but looks new. Anyone know how to tell which version it is? I don’t need it.

check your pm Anthony, thanks..

Thanks again Tom, your R12 is on the way.
Cheers, Anthony |
