Heres’s a few early 60’s Newspaper clippings from when Frank Sanders was running the Z11.
Interesting too, he was the founder of S&S Headers also racing Warbirds as the last couple 1965 clippings.
Sadly, Frank was killed in 1990 when his Canadair T33 as pics below crashed during a training flight, click here for more…

In two of those old newspaper articles, they refer to Arizona Rt. 87 as 'Hart Line Highway'. Never heard of that before, as far as I've known it's always been known as the 'Bee Line Highway', which is how I always thought the drag strip got its name.
