Other LOS custom interior (12667) converts made during this time frame have 4 digit body numbers. LOS used different body number sequences for coupes and converts, both standard and custom interior. Not many Custom interior converts made so thats why the lower body number later in the year.
Look at any Van Nuys 12667 tag and all the body numbers are low. The V108 is shifted down, but the whole tag is shifted like it wasnt in the holder straight. I think the tag is good. Heres a 12667 (Pace Car) tag |
There are four styles for trim tags:
Base coupe and Deluxe coupe Base convertible and Deluxe convertible Each of the four tags had it's own body sequence number starting at 1. So as Jonesy said, if they didn't build many of one type those would have lower numerical body number counts (totals). If four of the same body style were built consecutively, they would have sequential body numbers. Otherwise the numbers have no relationship to each other across the different body types. |
