Eric Jackson at vintage muscle car parts. Great guy.

Carb wizard, BUT... Eric only does stock muscle car carb builds these days.

I doubt he would be interested in a custom set up.

Holley's are pretty easy to tinker with. I have no choke on it and have to hold the throttle open a little when it's cold but after a minute it's fine.

Lean conditions under throttle transition on a double pumper happen from improper accelerator pump set up, usually just the squirters, or the wrong power valve. Distributor advance is also very important here.

Nothing wrong with vacuum secondary carbs.... There is a reason the factory used them, they're much smoother, economical, and easier to tune. Usually easier to get the cars to hook up on street tires with a vacuum secondary too, but with a 496 I think the chances of you getting traction on the street is probably near 0%

pro systems are very good, probably the best carb people out there. They are the shot.

We have a good carb guy in Bowling Green. If you don't get something by July then contact SP Carburetors. Scott built the carburetor on my Camaro and all he did when we had it on the dyno was make one air bleed change. You could pick it up at SCR.

Was that an engine dyno, or chassis to tune ? I would need to bring to car a day or 2 before and have it set up.

Engine dyno at Dale Meers Racing Engines in Buffalo KY. Scott lives about 4 miles from Beech Bend and he's at the track a lot helping people tune his carburetors.
