His story has changed since I put spark plugs in it just to get it to run. Back when he offered it to me he wanted more then I thought it was worth, at the time I didn’t think it was realistic. Maybe now. Nice car with potential. I didn’t buy it because I couldn’t get it to stop smoking, I drove it for a while, he said he had the engine rebuilt. He just kept telling me it was flooded, however he couldn’t change the plugs himself. Had it not needed another rebuild, I may have saved it!

No buy it now !!

Do you think he meant to change the price to $35,999?

Agree this Z could clean up well. Full detail top to bottom and inside. Wax and buff, shampoo carpet, clean up seats, dash etc. Clean up engine compartment. Leave original.

What is with the new price on it. 359,999.00

I'm going to think he put that astronomical price in there to scare off the flippers . Says something in the ad about not wanting to see it go overseas & wants it to go to a real collector . Would imagine if a real buyer came along that really wants the car & would keep it , the price would drop accordingly . Just my guess .......

Another possibility is he had an offer that he's willing to accept, but Ebay rules aren''t allowing him to end the auction for some reason. Therefore, he put the opening bid up so high no one will bid on it, and the auction will end at a no sale, allowing him to close the deal with his buyer. That happened to a friend of mine on a project car he was selling several years ago.

It is a very nice car, however with the parts it needs, and to rebuild the engine, a lot for a 68. Knowing him though, he may get it!
