Ugh! So sorry to hear this. Verne has been a tremendous help with our 62 and making things correct. This is another huge loss. Prayers to his family.

That is terrible. Verne was definitely one of the great guys on the site and just recently posted on a thread here. Rest in peace my good friend, we will see you on the other side. Sincere condolences to his family.

Oh No! I have not seen Verne in a few years, but I enjoyed talking to him at the late Greats picnics. He was one of a kind!

Like others have said, when ever I read one of his posts I usually learned something...He was a very knowledgeable guy when it came to 409 cars, something I know very little about. R.I.P. Verne my condolences to Verne's family.

Oh no...Verne was a really good guy! I remember the second Super Car Reunion I went to-Verne didn't have a ride from the airport to Collinsville...So I volunteered to pick him up. I also found out he didn't have a cell phone...so let's just say it was an adventure to pick him up-as he had to borrow another traveler's cell phone to call me-then he mistook which exit door he was at :cool2:

Took a few hours to find him, but it all ended up working out! I really enjoyed our discussions on the drive to and at that show!

Here's a candid pic that I took of Verne (on the left) and Paul Martin (on the right) and MCACN in 2014-when both were helping in the Vintage Certification.

I stood there quietly then yelled "PAUL!" really loudly-and the result was this picture.

Verne was laughing...

We will miss you, my friend!
