First; no doubt in my mind that William has way more information and knowledge than I do. If William things it is original, then it probably is.

But, you have to wonder why it is so "aged". If in fact, someone cared enough about the original WS to remove carefully and save it (most got removed with a razor blade scraper and were destroyed), why would they have stored it in such a way that it ended up looking like this?

Would like to hear from KurtS on the engine stamp. Hard to tell with all the paint, but I don't like it. Like William said, doubt it would have had the partial stamped down by the oil filter.

I dont think theres any way of confirming that engine pad stamp the way it is with all that paint covering it.

It looks like V0829DZ
The rear axle tube stamping. The B looks like it used to be a P??

I'd have to see a better pic of the pad without paint to make a call.
WS is real. Axle probably is OK, could just be the lighting or a bad hit (PU is a 10 bolt in 69).
