Cool!

We just left Yellowstone.

Glad you had a nice time there. As beautiful as your pictures are, I'm fortunate to know even they can't compare to being there in person...a very worthwhile experience for anyone considering it.

Great way to spend a day.

When I was 16 (1969), we (my Mom, and two of my brothers) rode mules to the bottom and back up. It was an all day affair.

In January of 1995, I called to make reservations to take my kids on the same mule ride, hoping to schedule for August 1995. I was told there was a 7 year wait!!! We went anyway, and decided to walk to the bottom, then back up. At about 1/2 way down, I decided that was probably enough. Kids were 18, 15.5 and 13. Good thing we didn't go all the way down; I ended up carrying my 13 year old daughter all the way back up because her legs started cramping. She rode on my shoulders. No wonder my feet always hurt these days.

That’s awesome, Bruce! Kelly hiked the Grand Canyon down, not up, right before we were married. Sounds like an easy out going down rather than up, but even down is a workout and her poor toes were all black and blue!

Beautiful out there. I fly over it all the time but never been myself.

Cheers
Dave

Beautiful pictures. Definitely some place we need to visit. We're hardcore cruisers and it's difficult for us to change from that, lol, but the beauty is undeniable.

Cool pics Bruce! The canyon is on my list. I went to Bryce and Zion this past May, but I have to see the big-daddy of them all!

One of my favorite places. Hiked down the Kaibab trail and back up the Bright Angel trail. What a trip. I highly recommend it. My next hike there will be rim to rim. Just the solitude and landscape makes it so peaceful. One of the wonders of the world. Just pick the right time of the year.

Walking down is much harder on your knees as well as your toes.
