Thanks for the information. Please let us know how it looks when you get it. It looks like they. May be the only option at this point

If all you do is windshields the GM license would be cost prohibitive... when I was looking at doing rad hoses a few years back it was $2500 a year plus 10% of gross sales of licensed products.

I got my w/s from ECS today. They did a nice job of the LOF & date. Windshield measured about .200 thick. Had another w/s in the shop, not LOF, & it measured .270 thick. The ECS w/s is definitely off shore, Singapore....Joe

Interesting note on the thickness Joe. The CRG Glass report mentions that for windshields, "AS-1 glass is typically composed of two pieces of 1/8-inch glass laminated on either side of 0.030-inch of PVB plastic." So OEM would've been around 0.280", pretty much as the scond one you measured, versus the ECS being somewhat thinner.

I talked to a friend of mine who has been in the glass business since the 80s. He said when he goes to set my new glass, he will use a different urethane so it will sit correctly for the w/s moldings. I guess once installed it will be fine....Joe
