Rush & Cleveland....Thanks to Donna Halper @ WMMS for breaking the band. Legends...Sad to hear...RIP Mr Pert..
BIG |
Ah, fellow NE Ohio guys.
Saw them at Richfield, Signals tour. I was around 14 or 15 years old. Tickets were cheap,,as was,ah,other entertainment. Big Rush fan back in the day. Still timeless great music. Wonderful times to be a teen back then! In the flatlands of Cleveland. Watched a Rush doc on Netflix about a year ago, forgot the name, but it's out there. |
An incredible loss. Neil was a fluid drumming machine. So versatile, precise. I've seen them on tour a few times. Amazing what 3 guys can do live. His talents will be missed.

One of a kind..
We use to sit in the back behind the band when they played Capital Center, Landover MD just see what HE was doing. |

..."The documentary recounted Glen’s memories of the day a white Corvette arrived at his dealership with an offer for Neil to audition for the still-struggling band. Just days before, as the band was getting ready for a small U.S. tour, Rush parted ways with its original drummer. After an impressive audition, this parts manager decided to “fly by night” away from the dealership — right before harvest, no less."
