I just sprayed mine with zolatone. Looks great and it is tuff as nails. takes a quart and a half to do a camaro size trunk . and you need a HVLP to spray it.

Isn't the final stage of the Zolatone process a Clear coat and is this step completed or skipped?:hmmm:

You can clear coat if you wish or skip it.

Beauty of ZOLATONE is no clear coat. As noted. Hard as a rock. No flash rusting even if moisture was to get in. My Danube Blue 66 SS was finished in 2001 and still looks like it was done yesterday. Web site may have close up but if not., I can take one

The reformulated Berlage product no longer needs to be cleared either.

I've heard of some using black epoxy primer and than spattering the aqua over the top.How do you make the paint gun spatter big tip,low pressure?

My Z has the epoxy primer with aqua spattered. The ppg code on aqua was 43816. Turned out nice. Hard to get a good picture in the trunk
