I reassembled and threw the tank back in the car and the fuel gauge continues to get a good signal. I took a few archeological shots prior to putting all back together and wanted to get some input from the experts on the markings (crayon) and stampings (date code?) that I found. Notice all of the extra solder around the various joints.
Thanks... |
Sam, sender was assembled 38th day of 1969.
These were Julian dated. What's the car's build date? |
Opps...tank was assembled 38 day of 1969.

I was hoping that’s what that code meant. Thanks! The car is 06A built. I’m surprised you know this Shaun because I only thought you worked on them Prancin’ Horsey cars!

Yeah Eddie, I remember the day I introduced the two of you to each other. I am afraid you have taken this innocent young man to the dark side and we may never get him back!! ;>))
Any thots from the experts on the meaning of the crayon marking? "368"? |

Don't worry Sam, I'm back , damn horsey bucked me off, don't know what the hell Eddie feeds these things anyways. I think the "merinera" sauce didn't agree that mare. :dunno::dunno: |
Ha! Good to have you back Shaun. Yeah, those tennacles of the dark side can be compelling! ;>))

Sam
# 368 might have been a sequence number for the 368th car that day, or shift ? And don't pay no mind to those two out in Arid Zona, the heat is getting to them about now ... |
