The buyer posted on the CRG. He seems happy.

I hope it ends up being a good car. The rumors were aggressive. That is often times how good cars get a bad reputation.

you can view MCAKN 2018 and view the car yourself, you first hand saw the car when it was for sale so you said or your friends did, than ask Steve shauger how in the world did that car do that?

olredalert 08-08-2020 03:54 PM

----Brent saw the car and described it on the 1st post. I'm not making anything up. read his description and ask yourself if that car as described is Heritage worthy.....Bill S

I am embarrassed at the lack of respect given to the owner (who is a member) and the car.

Bill you reference someones opinion, yet you have no first hand knowledge...really!!! Perhaps your animosity towards your neighbor influenced your response.

This car did complete a Vintage Certification in 2018, and was awarded Heritage. This is the our third award level:

Vintage Time Capsule - Vehicles that are 95+% unrestored in all six reference areas
Vintage Legend - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in all six reference areas.
Vintage Heritage - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in five reference areas.
Vintage Legacy - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in four reference areas
Vintage Reference - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in at least two reference areas.

This car was certified objectively and fairly by 3 judges, and we certainly stand by the results. We have been certifying cars for over 20 years and at each event we encourage all interested parties to look and learn.

Our score sheets indicate any deviation from assembly line production processes or materials ( some referenced in this thread). Our program is not judged as a beauty contest or freshly restored car.

Yes sir and I own it now. Wont ever be for sale again and one of the nicest originals with 85% of its original paint left. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For some reason there was lots of taint on this car right from the first guy telling us it was his neighbors car that he doesn't get along with. Well that fellow was the 2nd owner of this Beautiful low mile Z28 for 35 years which came with original documentation and what he told me is hated tire kickers, know it all's, and test pilots.
I look at this site for useful and helpful information. I look up to all you fellows who know your stuff, but when I see articles like this and followed to the CRG fourm, it makes me wonder how could anyone come to you folks for help or advice.

Steve thanks for all the help and honesty you have given me and Mike is pretty cool dude who also really knows his stuff. She sits perfectly next to my Bloomington Gold Survivor 1969 Corvette 427/435 MA6 who also has its bumps and bruises..

Let's make sure we are all talking about the same car.
I saw 124379N693680 51-51 715 at MCACN. Very nice survivor..... Mark B was there too.
