Re: NEW Guy here, saying hello. 68 GTO / 65 Chev Van
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Kurt is actually my wifes cousin, So I have to kind of claim him..... We DO love him though. (The stories I could tell.....) On the GTO I forgot to mention - It is an AZ car, I have the build sheet, and the car is fully documented. The original owner is still alive, and I talk with him occasionally. He special ordered the power bench seat as he has Muscular Dystrophy, and is in a wheel chair. He could not get in and out of a Bucket Seat car, and had no leg strength to move a manual seat. Anything on the car, that is NOT correct (Such as the mirrors for example) were changes done by him back in the day, and I left. The car sat for aprox 12 years before I purchased it, as he can no longer drive due to his health. The Van get LOTS of attention around my town here, and is probably the single best advertising I have done for my shop. I drive it Almost everyday in the summer, and even take it to an occasional local show. |

John, it's great to see you on the Yenko site.....the best forum online!!!!! On a side note, John is not one to gloat so I'll fill you in on some of the information on his GTO. He had to have the front bench seat cover special made and was told it may be one of one. It's a very cool car and VERY dependable. The van was a smart purchase......John sees a lot of things out of the box and this is one of them..... Below are a few pictures of his GTO and my Chevelle together and some other pictures of his "Day2" van.
