Chevrolet made U16 or U17 mandatory with Z/28 as of January 2, 1969. On February 11 dealers received notification from the Zone that U16 was "delayed for an undetermined period of time" and that current Z/28 orders must specify D55 and U17. The shortage must have been resolved during March as cars built 04A have U16.

There is at least one other Yenko sold Z28 known, I have the protect-o-plate, 4.56 rear.
