Re: Very original LS6

Re: Very original LS6
^ my 70 Z28 was Forest Green with the tan interior, I was NOT a fan of the green exterior but figured since it had a tan interior, I could paint it any color I wanted ... that is why it is black today. I wouldn't consider any green interior cars (or shlushboxes) when I was shopping for mine - and I looked at a LOT of them, even after I already had mine (mid 1977 acquisition) https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...ter1981cua.jpg
re: LS6: yup, lots of gold guts green cars back then ... for today AND yesterday, I've always preferred the cloth seats, WAY cool car, lucky family |

Re: Very original LS6
I love that color combo. As stated above, I get tired of seeing black and red ones all the time. And that interior is killer as well. That's really a pretty contemporary color combo.
 |
Re: Very original LS6
Very nice car, don't mind the colors just wish they didn't paint the engine when it was rebuilt. And it could use some cragers

Re: Very original LS6
The car had headers on it but when they rebuilt the engine they put manifolds on it

Re: Very original LS6
Great car - It's an LS6 that survived. Who cares what color it is. Good on his family for saving it...
But those wheels - Jeez they are an ugly epidemic. If you want custom wheels, go vintage. Those all-chrome torque thrust wannabes are just hideous. But that's a small correction, and the only one I'd make. |

AGREED!! I am over them as well, and they are on EVERYTHING. I'm trying to sell the same 16" chrome/aluminum TT's on my Camaro so I can get some O/S Cragars, which are the proper wheel for it. |
Re: Very original LS6
I think I remember this car from about 7 or 8 years ago, either on this site or the Chevelle site. Wasn't it languishing for many years in an alley garage in Chicago proper? Seems to me the son was asking some questions about it with a minimum of information posted, and most people thought he was just BS'ing.
