Sorry for not answering sooner, I was out of town. There is an attachment plate to run the distributor off the front of the motor. Here it is out of the car. The idea is that it is a more precise way of running the distributor directly from the front of the cam shaft rather than running off the rear of the camshaft. There is a special water pump mounted about four inches farther out and my car has an electric water pump. All I'll say is this engine is more responsive and revs faster than anything I've driven.

Drives like a 289 Cobra. Extremely fast and idles like a purring cat at 600 RPM with the Hilborn FI.

Here are two pictures from Cars & Coffee last weekend. It was a 40 mile round trip....I had the aluminum headlight covers in place.
