Re: Correct Lakewood colors?

Here is a picture of my roll bars, the front one is painted chevy orange, the back one is the original Lakewood paint. It is more red than orange.

This first traction bar is an original unpainted Lakewood traction bar, you can see it is not real bright.

The second picture is a repaint I used John Deere yellow (rustoluem) I like the color and this paint is real durable.

That's perfect thanks man! Exactly what I was looking for. Maybe today I'll see if home depot had that John Deere yellow!

Re: Correct Lakewood colors?

The current version of 'chevy orange/red' by dupli-color is a close match for the original roll bar paint - you will actually have a harder time finding the classic 'chevy orange' nowadays!

You can still buy those decals in that size from Lakewood. Tons of them on ebay

Re: Correct Lakewood colors?

First of all, let me say, "I get it".

However, part of me can't help but chuckle about the concern for factory-correct colors for parts that are being installed to modify a vehicle and move it further away from "factory-correct". I understand completely, but it IS a little funny when you think about it.
