Re: clutch/clutch plate 1969 Z28/
I have the Centerforce behind my 500 HP Hemi, 500 HP 427, and 450 HP 427. Never any problems, and I do hammer all three of them. Some nasty hole shots too! Easy on the left foot too.

Hays Street Strip.....a little heavier on the foot then stock but never slips and doesn't chatter like other manufacturers. Do your research on clutch chatter......trust me.

I remember running L88 discs and pressure plates back in the early 70's.Bought all that stuff from GM with never an issue. Easy pedal and hooked up 9" tires back then.
Does GM sell a set up like that now over the counter? |
Re: clutch/clutch plate 1969 Z28/
The old AC Delco clutch I removed from my 69Z was shot, when I got it out to look at it I was amazed it would still move the car, it may have been the original who knows, 1/3 of the clutch disc pads were totally gone and missing, but it still worked great,I laid down 100 ft. burnouts many times .

On a side note....my wife drives the Chevelle occasionally with no issues as fas as the heavier clutch pedal pressure.....and she's only 5'2".

BUT, she packs a wallop! I heard she would put that car solidly in the 11's after a couple passes in it. Look out for the "Wisconsin Wives" they are going to dial you guys in.
