The J56 was only 67 Z28 only and it had Front discs and rear metallic drums. Jon Mello had a survivor Mountain Green J56 equipped 67 Z28. The J56 front brakes had heat insulators behind the pucks in the calipers I am not sure if they were twin pin calipers or if they were single pin, I do know many Trans Am cars were converted to twin pins.
J65 was 4 wheel metallic drums. There were only 1217 J65 cars. DATE IS ~ J 17 6 October 17 1966. |

would the 3.31 gear have been a desirable ratio for any kind of track racing in that era?
