I thought 400-403-455 was the same block and the 350 was the small block of olds.

Olds 403 is 4.350 inch bore! Same deck as the 350. Sounds like a very "Trans Am" over square motor

The second gen Firebirds are wonderful driving cars. There is no comparison in ride quality to a first gen car. Pontiac spent a lot of time and energy developing the ride and handling packages on these cars, much more so than Chevrolet did on the Camaro.

And nothing beats a low mileage, original car.

I've only had two second gen F - bodies (that were functional running cars, anyway), a 74 Camaro and a 72 Firebird Formula 400. I agree with Steve, the Firebird felt like a whole different car, not only from a First Gen, but from my 74 Camaro, as well.

Especially with the WS6 RPO, which as heavily optioned as this on is it does not have(which is good for me as i'd be weak in the knees right now)
