Sorry Charlie, I don't care who I piss off, this is a car forum, not a tupperware party. If people on this forum don't like to get their feelings hurt, then maybe they should be on the mothers housekeeping forum. This forum is about stating opinions, not stating opinions "but you have to be careful not to hurt other peoples feelings". "Illegal" is illegal now matter how you cut it. "Undocumented workers" are illegal. "rolling though a stop sign" is illegal. Now if you're feelings are hurt because you may disagree with the term "illegal", then I don't know what to tell you.... |

No...This is <span style="font-weight: bold">MY</span> car forum and <span style="font-weight: bold">MY</span> members. If you continue I will simply remove you. It is up to you. I have given you a longer leash than many here would have.

I believe it's a state-by-state issue, but changing the VIN is a federal offense. Changing the fender tag is not, but if you get burned, I'm sure the courts will rule in your favor. |

Thank you. I don't get to it as much as I'd like, but if you have any suggestions, just PM me - even something on your car if it's interesting.

Re: Isn't this illegal?
I do not see the dash vin# for sale. I don't think a sticker with the vin# and tags are illegal to sell. The law may pertain to anything with the vin#, but i thought it meant the actual vin tag. Are the stamped vin#'s on the sheet metal illegal. Can anyone on here that works in the legal system verify?
