Paint applied by Tom Scholtz had a lot to do with it as well. |
Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
I am not sure what point you are trying to make but the owner of this Yenko is a member of this site (427freak). You could PM him your concerns, contact him at his business or e-mail him through the e-bay auction that you copy and pasted to this site. Dana is a good guy and I am sure he can answer any questions you might have.

"any" questions? Sure, if that's the case, then I'd like to see the breakdown of the cost of all the work done to the car to equal a $500k Camaro..... |
Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
Very good questions now go ask the guy with the answers.

Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
I really don't see the point here? A person can ask whatever they want for a car, especially a car that they have spent the money on to restore-the market will either bear out that the price is in line or it won't.
It's nobody else's business what amount of money was spent-and on what. If you have a Yenko to get restored-contact one of the restoration folks to get a bid-or do it yourself. If you have a Yenko to sell-put it out on the market for what you think it's worth...and see what happens. |

Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
Tom, I don't know what fight you are trying to pick or why but what do receipts have to do with the value of the car. The car itself, it's heritage, how well the restoration was performed, how many were made, how many still exist, many things come into play to put a value on the car. Who are we to decide what a car is worth or not worth. The buyers set the market values not us with opinions. Would you pay $4m for the GM Futurliner? Likely not but one collector did. If you feel it is overpriced then don't buy it, quite simple. Cars are listed every day that some feel are overpriced. Some sell, some don't. You seem to post a lot of negative comments here on the boards and not sure why. Say something positive for a change, you might just be able to smile for a change.

Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
With only a handful of 68' Yenko's produced and only a handful of those done to a top level, I don't see your point at all If he gets 500K for it, so what. I have seen all kinds of people pay what seems like too much for all kind of cars, only to see that number seem like a bargain in a few years if not months later..BKH

Re: A Yenko Camaro for $500k?
So, if he had $800K in it, would you say it's underpriced at $500K?
And, tell me one product you buy on the open market, that you think you have a right to demand proof of cost. That's simply ridiculous! |
