That is some nice paint for being 45 years (!) old.

Kim is trying to get the picture from 1969 of the show after guy had it painted that Black Pearl color and picture of both brothers from the early days standing by open hood of the car. Yes it is the paint from back then it is a 10 foot car but you get close you can see imperfections but it sure looks great for a car painted that long ago. Jason spent a lot of time buffing to get the dirt out of the paint from sitting all those years in that garage but at least it survived as a great car that will turn heads at car shows.

When Kim picked car up from Jerry he snapped picture of that one above Jerry would not give it up but he still had original dual snorkel way you see it in the picture when they raced it with snorkels knocked off and holes cut in base to let air in better only extra hole was when I ordered new reproduction snorkel Jason took the one tube off this original to fix it correct compared to way they making repro ones. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...norkel_002.jpg

Pretty dumb thing to do thinking they were helping get air to the carb

Cool vintage photo. Why is that dumb Barry? It very well could be but I have had a bunch of vintage air cleaners with similar mods. Usually done with a hole saw though.

Barry, what were the mag wheels on it back then? You are lucky to have some old pics!
