I wish they would run one of those events at Atco or E-Town; I'd love to see that many pure stock muscle cars running down the track. </div></div> Check this out http://www.supercarraces.com/2014evens.html |

As much as I enjoy seeing those cars run I also want to see the Pure Stock cars run. I'd also love to see the L88 Corvettes and LS6 Corvettes run. |

Re: Pure Stock Drags Stanton 2014
These cars are mostly stock. They are allowed 1.5 extra points of compression above the advertised amount for the engine. The engine and transmission need to be available for the year and model of the car. Here is a link to the rules: Pure Stock Drags rules

Re: Pure Stock Drags Stanton 2014
Here are a couple of more pictures from Friday. By the way all three L88 Corvettes were disqualified for going faster than 11.50. The Kyrta's 72 442 W-30 was also disqualified for I believe having too high of a compression ratio.
This is Ron Hammer's original 71 455HO GTO. It is 53 53 Quezal Gold car with a 263 Saddle interior. The eyebrow stripes were available on non Judge cars, but I don't believe this car originally came with them. This is an automatic car and was running high 12's. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-img_9062.jpg This is one of four 69 Hurst Olds that were there. I'm not sure whose this one was, but it was from IN and didn't have A/C. They were all running high 13's and low 14's. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-img_9044.jpg This is an original W-30 car with a bench seat and a 4 speed. I believe it was running in the low 14 second range. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-img_9107.jpg This is I believe a 425 horse 66 Corvette. I never saw the hood open or the owner around, but it did have the high rpm redline tach. This car was running easy low 14's. Cars running 13.99 and faster needed driveshaft loops so I'm guessing some of these guys taking it easy didn't have them. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-img_9090.jpg |
