What's so great about a 69 ss 396?? You see them all the time at car shows, just saw two this weekend... :dunno:

I have my doubts about original big block status....if this is a real Canadian delivered car, then that could be resolved pretty quick.

Lots of little stuff that isn't right...but for that money, if it runs good and the body is solid...I don't think you can get hurt too bad.

That's also not a Nova console.

"All Original Drive train"!!! I really have my doubts as too much stuff doesn't add up. My question is "why no heater box, power brakes" and yes that is a '68 steering wheel insert. Didn't SS cars have disc brakes? If so wouldn't they have been power? The gauges in the console should be black as well. Camaro's are white-Nova's are black faced. Is it an L35,L34 or a '78? Too many concerns.....

If I was in the market to buy,I know where there are 2 4 spd 396 '69 SS's-1 with Canadian doc's 350 hp Silver w/ Red interior for $19K US and another which is a real L78 bench 4 spd that has a real L88 in it from '70 in it's original Butternut Yellow for $22K US as well.So having said that, which one would you buy.A car that needs work or one that you can just buy and drive?

This is where the line should be drawn! The guy who is a member is trying to sell his father's car and should not have to listen to so called experts disparage his car for Christ sake. Sounds like you should buy both of those cars if they are real. The guy is asking no money for it in my opinion. Can't we be a little nicer?

Rebelrouser: You shouldn't be telling us about those two cars.....I think you should have bought both already.
