Re: 3 Yenko's and others at auction

Dave bought the L89 Convertible from RK Motors and we discussed this car many of times!! Said he they had proof! Never saw it..
Its funny a few always chime about this Nova knowing this car is as real as it gets with approval from Vince. Sorry!! I would take his word over those cars sold with only a affidavit from some previous owner!!
I would more then happy to sell that Nova again with or without docs!! I hope it ends up in another great collection who wont care what 10 people in the hobby think!!

Let's stick to the facts regarding the Nova. There was a statement that the car had / has docs? If it does great, I'd know that I sure would like to see them. As far as Vince Emme verifying the Nova.....I'd like to see that too?

I have seen that document to verify the car as one of the 37 or so L78 Novas on the Yenko Sports Cars Inventory Sheet. I have no doubts that it is one of those Novas. I see nothing to verify the car as a 427 Conversion?

There have been other such Nova's on the same list, which were never converted.

Where is Marlin when you need him? I'll defer to those who have much more knowledge that me in this matter.

I see that they added a link for the docs for all the cars but the L89 ragtop. I guess the absence of docs speaks for itself on that one.

Stefano, sorry about any confusion concerning what I said about "original docs." I assumed it was a known car and don't know all of the intricacies about the converted versus non-converted cars.

From the questions on the auction site it appears that you have to be physically present at the auction - no phone bidding. And no buyer's commission!

...and no, I have no money to bid with but I will be there both days just to watch the circus.

Just back from a week of Jr Dragster racing in Bristol, TN!!

Yes, that green Nova was previously owned by Gregg Joseph who sold it in the summer of 2010. Car was originally sold out of V.V. Cooke in KY, and (per my failing memory...) was found by Mitch Moore and Mick Price - I believe still in original paint in full 427 regalia. I've seen the pre resto pics that Joe Grom from Chevy II Only has, pretty cool car. Like most of the '69 Y-Novas, I don't think this car has any bullet proof doc's to prove it was a 427. I think that Suydam's Y-Nova is the only one that has Yenko paper stating the car was a 427 from new. I have a window sticker from another car, but it's not been found to my knowledge.
