Re: 1970 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed "Barn Find"
So I finally hear from my high bidder on eBay and the guy tells me somebody hacked his computer and he didn't bid on it. The only problem I have with that is when I checked on what he has bid on in the last six months he bidded on another 70 chevelle in June. When I asked him about this he said he did bid on that one but the car turned out to be fake....WTF...... I hate liars. Something is fishy here. All I know is he ruined my auction and now I can't run it again because people will think the car is no good and that's why the first buyer backed out. Happens every time. Any trades accepted or I guess I'll have to paint it. I'M LEAVING HIM BAD FEEDBACK

It has happened a few times with me, too. Absolute clowns out there. See if you can contact the 2nd or 3rd highest bidder to make a deal. Hope it works out for you!

Report him as a non paying bidder.

The shame is ebay won't do nothing to him...Maybe suspend someone's account for three months and it will stop. Also I appreciate telling to try the second and third bidder but that never works out for me. They always think that the first guy passed for a reason and the car must be a piece of shit. The good news is its not the end of the world being stuck with a numbers matching 70 chevelle.

Re: 1970 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed "Barn Find"
Run a new auction as if nothing happened. You would be surprised how many times people start looking on e-bay never knowing about a past auction. If you mention the past auction then it brings a negative tone and it is not needed. The car speaks for it's self and it will sell at your price.

Re: 1970 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed "Barn Find"
I would relist the car and add a copy of the email from the "hacked" bidder. I had a bidder tell me he accidently placed on one of my auctions several years ago. I asked how he "accidently" bid when the bidding was a 3 step process. Did he accidently go through all 3 steps? He didn't respond to my question.
