Ryan,

You got it bad.

But then again, I guess most of us do too.

I have a question for you. Were the bucket seats added at some time on your car ? Was it a bench seat car originally ?

I had the same thought Mike..a bench to bucket conversion gone wrong? ..does'nt the one side of the bench mount get reused?..or do they have to be moved over as well??

Yes, one spot used on the bench gets used, I think I have some ref shots.
When you do this conversion you are welding in the bench seat brackets. If they are not located correctly that might present a problem.

Re: Seat tracks, seat belts, seat install

Original bucket seat car. Original floors. I just spent two hours with the owner who said it was original SS, these seats and these track. I am completely at my wits end.

To verify some basics. The seat adjuster goes on the outside of the seat closest to the doors. The adjuster allow you to move the seat by PULLING the lever forward. The inner brackets appear to be the same side to side. The inner brackets have two holes on one end and one hole on the other. The end of the brackets with TWO holes goes to the back of the seat. This makes each one position specific. The seats I believe are not specific until you bolt the brackets on. Is this true?

They can only bolt in the car one way using one set of holes. There are two front bolt hole, two outer rear and one inner rear hole on each side.

When I put the drivers seat in working only on the outer track (with the adjuster handle) in with the front single bolt in and the rear over to the farthest hole I can put the seat belts in like it is supposed to be there. But the inner bracket rear hole is off about 1".

Anyone have a photo of a seat upside down so I can confirm I am not nuts?
