Below postings were made by a fellow named Steve Rankin: <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">"Jerry's old car!! Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
From memory, Steve Rankin is a Mopar guy that usta be from the South Bend area, and the blue car was originally purchased by Ed Flowers as I recall, but I thought he bought it at Mishawaka Gates.

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
Gates is the dealer on the Yenko Inventory Sheets as well.

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
I'm pretty sure the guy in the picture is Ed Flowers. I recall him being a sorta tall blonde guy, but that was years ago.

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
Eddie your right thats not Jerry. and the car Jerry had wasnt restored it was an original paint car.
and if I remember right thats the plate Jerry had with the car. |
Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
I bought the car from Jerry in the spring of 1998. Sold it to Dave Christenholz in the summer of '03 . Dave then sold it to a fellow member here. It was 90% original and is known to Mr. Lillard who assisted in judging it at the National Chevy Convention in Northern California . Don't know the current location or owner.

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
It's even more original now as the original tires have been reunited with the car.

Re: '69 Yenko Camaro: Lemans Blue
Wow!!! Great. I drove the car almost 2000miles before I decided that wasn't a good idea. We were ata national convention in Vancouver with the trailer stored about 10 miles from the show area. Drove the car to the trailer with no problem. Unloaded the car on our side street to put back in the garage. Drove 10 ' and the right side idler arm bracket fell off. Bolt was missing. Kinda scary!!!

How about a reunion at MCACN VII?
