I have to ask about the stripes where they end in the cowl area because I have never seen an original paint 69 Z/28. I saw one picture of the area by the trim tag and I would have thought there would have been more over spray from the body color and the stripe on the firewall area.

The cowl screen was painted off the car. Looks like there was some rattle can touch up by the cowl. There is black paint on the fender reinforcement which should be body color. Maybe when they painted the brake booster!

That is good to know Steve. I had no idea it went that late. A friend of mine has a late January car with the long spoiler, I assumed it was phased out by then. You know what happens when you assume!

I've seen a few 3:55 non-posi Z 28s, but never 3:73 and higher.

My last 69 HO, RS Z was a factory 3.73 open rear. Axle code BO.

It looks like you could get a posi with gears as low as 2:73, code BQ and non posi with gears as high as 3:73 code BO in a 69 camaro with 12 bolt.

I talked to the owner the day the ad was listed last week. The car has had some welding done on the floors for some sort of subframe connectors at some point. Obviously the grille has been painted, who knows how much more. I never received any further detailed photos; trunk, underbody, etc. It looks like a nice straight car someone might enjoy.

He also stated the car was raced quite a bit and was going to be tubbed so the leaf springs were relocated but it was never completed. When he purchased the car he removed the frame connectors and put springs back. The tunnel has been cut as well. He had no information on the trans or rear but said " there is no reason they would have been switched". He didn't seem interested in checking the #'s.

I got some pictures and I think the transmission might have been changed. I can not make it out 100% but to me it looks like casting 3851325 but I could be wrong.
