Re: Exhaust Manifold Washers - SB
I have some originals around here somewhere that I can measure Eddie.
I am guessing you are concerned that they are the correct size, and zinc plated? The plating on mine probably won't be detectable, as they are old used originals. May soak in some rust remover and see how they come out. Hope your not in a hurry. Some of us don't live in Ariz (or S. Cal or Fl for that matter). It's cold out in the garage. |
Re: Exhaust Manifold Washers - SB
This is what is on my 69 Camaro, 307 car with 13k miles. It looks like the washer goes against the exhaust manifold, the french lock goes under the bolt head. Hope this helps.
This is a photo that was on my computer, you have to look closely to the right of the heater hose to see the outboard port with french lock. Phil Woj. http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps1877d3b5.jpg |
Re: Exhaust Manifold Washers - SB
woj, thanks for the pic.... the inboard bolt in the pic (to the left of the plug wire) looks like it also has a washer on it??

Re: Exhaust Manifold Washers - SB
Eddie,
Yes, all the exhaust manifold bolts on this car have a thick(er) washer, just the forward and aft ports got the french locks and washers. I took a few more pix this morning and will email to you. Phil Woj |
