Re: STOLEN 1972 Chevelle
Dan, the trailer was found in Darien, WI. A friend of mine shared my post on Facebook and one of his friends saw the post while he was at work and noticed the trailer near his work place.

Re: STOLEN 1972 Chevelle
I would watch craigs list. They will unload it cheap. Being a drag car, they will just sell as a bill of sale.

Re: STOLEN 1972 Chevelle
Or worse they will scalp the car for its parts and leave the carcass for dead... savages

Re: STOLEN 1972 Chevelle
It may take law enforcement to obtain it but worth asking the Byron track folks if a participant list from the same weekend is available also would trucks given pit access be req'd to give their plate #'s?
You'd think there's gotta be cameras on route between where the trailer was grabbed and dropped that may show it driving by w/ suspect tow vehicle? If law enforcement can't help perhaps $ may persuade a gas station or somewhere that may have tapes to share? Keep in mind surveillance systems sometimes loop tape/record over footage in 3/7 days or whatever so time of the essence! Lastly a long shot perhaps but would the crooks maybe leave their own trailer behind when hooking another and return later for theirs...so any lone trailers left behind in the area may be worth noting plate #'s? Was the original plate still on the stolen trailer when found? Crooks are usually stupid so think smart and best of luck tracking the bastards! ~ Pete |

There is a $2500 reward for the conviction of the thief/thieves. Thanks, Kurt |
