The suits managed it right into extinction, with help from "cost control" mania of the late '70s onward. (Post-deregulation.) All that service and glamor came at a cost. That had to be cut. And now back to your regularly scheduled program. |

There was a revival of the name Pan Am in the early 90's, lasted about 2 years. |

No way Pan Am would hire a girl who had choppers like that. She could eat an apple through a tennis racket! Corn on the cob through a venetian blind! She was probably a real cut-up and lots of fun on layovers. Kept her gag teeth on hand to joke with the passengers or spook a$$-grabbing businessmen. (Man, we hijacked the heck outta' this thread!
