I emailed someone but don't know if it was the right person. I would like to talk to him. Just to let him know that this guy is trying to sell his car

I don't. Know how to get ahold of the owner. I was hoping he was on here so I could talk to him. The pic of the title has the car and half of the name and address on it.

Hi All, this is Wade, the owner of this Yenko. I assure you this car is NOT for sale, and I have no knowledge whatsoever about this deal. I'll contact Kurtap and find out what is going on.

Re: new yenko camaro

Hi All,

Here's what I've learned sofar:

- The scam was to do some sort of simultaneous cross-country trading, via a supposed shipping company.
- All the communications with the scammer were via cell phone and texting.
- The pictures the scammer texted were of a '69 HO Yenko Camaro, but that's where the similarities with my car ends. The scammer's car was restored and did not have a vinyl top. Plus, the scammer did not send any pics of his car's VIN, just general exterior pics.
- The scammer did text a picture of a 'Title', but the picture was so out-of-focus that it is practically illegible. Plus, the picture doesn't show the VIN and half the owner's name is cropped out. So all this is is a picture of somebody's Title for a "1969 CHEV", from what I can deciper. Also, the visible portion of the last name on the Title doesn't even match the last name the scammer gave.

You get the idea, not very creative if you ask me. Bottom line, there is nothing that ties any of the scammer's 'documentation' to VIN 124379N615931. I don't have experience with this type of thing, but I plan to pass the scammer's ph# and all the info I have to the police.

- Wade

I remember a couple of years ago when a scammer attempted the same type thing with me on a AMC Super Stocker. The scam originated on Craig's list---I called Craig's list, The FBI, and several other "Cyber Crime" institutions. Whatever happened, I don't know, but I do know I did everything I could do make sure it didn't happen anymore.
