I didn't stop, just drove it to the back and came back. Some of them will! Thanks for the well wishes guys. I will bring it to the track from time to time, and maybe some shows. Started going over TS this am, (pushed it out ) Saw this sticker: http://www.69lm1.com/pics/TinSoldier/swinder.jpg Anybody recognize it? Again, thanks for the well wishes and rest assured TS will not be "restored" while I am the caretaker. I may re add the red stipe from TS's glory days. Anyone know why it was not put back when the car was freshened up? http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79...ageracepic.jpg RichPern |

Re: Tin Soldier Arrived Finally!
Rich, I saw the TS when it was brought back from Ohio I believe. The buyer stopped by to see what we thought of the car as we had done the Vitar COPO for him. Don't quite remember how it all shook out, but I think the car was done in Cedar Rapids by Larry Buyers. Again, not sure. The car was owned at the time I saw it by Clint Richmond who last I knew was in the Waterloo, Cedar Falls area.
FWIW. |
Re: Tin Soldier Arrived Finally!
taking a shot in the dark on the side winder sticker....could be a previous owner worked on the program, side winder is the AIM 9 air to air missile the services use to shoot bad guys out of the sky.
Congrats on the car. Have fun with it. |
