I'd also be nervous about publishing this deal on a national forum before it happens.I sure wouldn't be telling anyone where I live or where the car is.
Good luck. </div></div>

The 454, while freshly rebuilt/restored (before he purchased), is making &quot;ticking&quot; noises and he just can't stand it. </div></div>

He does realize it's a solid lifter engine...right?

I had someone say that about the 302...
Onlooker: It's ticking.
Me: It's the valve clearance for the solid lifter camshaft...
Onlooker: huh?
Me: Exactly...

I had a ticking noise in a 69 Z/28 that I had in High school. I thought it was the solid lifters out of adjustment. It ended up being the number 6 connecting rod bearing starting to seize up.

But, there's a phrase for that, &quot;More money than brains.&quot; </div></div>seems to be the norm in the hobby anymore.

Twertsy at this point everything is just talk. I think you are going to be in for a big surprise when he says NO to the sale of that engine.

Frank, perhaps but it's not like I'm pining over it. Just think it'd be a good investment.......
