I remember the car at Indy in the early '90s, restored condition then. So I think the resto is over 20 years old and sounds like the current condition reflects that.

It did get hammered at 190k, but the buyer backed out later claiming he thought it was a numbers matching car when he bid that much. The car belonged to the bank so after the sale fell through they took bids on it last week. Not sure how much it took to get it, but a friend bid 110k and didn't get it, so something north of that.

Don Clark in Texas owned it a while back, don't know who had it before then or who did the resto.
