I think the show is ok, as it is all mopar. My son watched it with me last night, and found the paint ball stuff worth the watch (he is 7). Now we have to go and check out paint guns. Cant wait to see the triple black 71 cuda restoration.

I just fast forward thru the crap - didn't know the rear bumble-bee stripes on the Challengers were painted first then color later. That was worth knowing (to me anyways...)

The show has too much drama, and his ego is way beyond his abilities. Another issue is the show provides very little technical content. I think the new Legendary Motor Car show is one of the best.

Im not a fan. Stick to the cars and trucks. Send the drama over to MTV for thier crowd... bring back reruns of American Sports Cavalcade with Ed Bruce .

That would be "Pimp My Ride".

This show "grave yard cars" I have not seen.

I like the idea of the show . Finding out the history of the cars and ho
w they died . Even going to the seen of the crash and were the car had been stored.
The season seem like a hour long commercial for local business and all the free shop tools . Hope they drop the occ crap and just go back to building and the research of some cool mopars

I am a fan of Hot Rod Magazine Roadkill on you tube.

Last night was the first time I had seen this show...kinda made in the image of the old Boyd Coddington show.

For a guy who is as self proclaimed special as this guy is..that is a pretty big restoration to get the stripes ass-backwards on.

And was it me or when they panned across the black painted roof on that car near the sunroof, wasn't there a gaggle of sanding marks in the paint? I mean is it going to get a vinyl top to cover it? Maybe I was seeing things...

Re: grave yard carz

I like Legendary Motor Car with peter and I like chasing classic cars with Wayne Carini
wayne and peter seem to be really honest nice guys that do know a lot
The other problem is i read a few days ago were speed channel in the spring will be dumping anything about cars and be all sports channel they also said that this was the last year for barret jackson to be on speed and I have seen in the last few weeks that the velocity channel is getting away from car stuff and showing more nature
thing I also see west coast costumes is now getting dumped
As far as grave yard carz I emailed mark back saying I was not to happy about the silly stuff He replied saying Veocity channel demanded they have all of the goofy stuff in because they think that is what people want to see and he realize thats NOT what us cars guys want to see BUT to get air time that is what he has to do I think in real life Mark is a nice guy that has a passion and Knows what he is doing Just go on on Facebook you will see every day mark gives updates and pictures of what he got done in that day .I think the networks are messing things up

Read about a week ago that Speed is going to change its format to all Sports and drop traditional Automobile coverage. For the most part I watch very litte Speed Chanel as the content does not appeal to me. I would like to comment on some of the programs currently being Aired:

Classic Car Rescue: The Cockney guy and the Canadian, always finding some piece of crap, totally rusted out huge drama when something goes wrong. Always a deadline because the appraiser is coming in 10 days( hint, tell the appraiser we will let him know when car is done). Appraiser shows up, looks at the car for 2 minutes and gives the guys a price that shows they made a good investment. In one of the episodes they were restoring a Mini and you could clearly see two minis, one they butchered and the one that actually had new paint at the end of the episode.

Counting Cars: The Guys out of Las Vegas, way too much drama.

Chasing Classic Cars: Wayne Carini is actually knowledgeable and informative and doesn’t always get what he wants but doesn’t throw a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. His cars go to auction and he accepts the end result.

Desert Car Kings: the guys from DVAP in Phoenix. They recently did a Charger, painted the car and later removed the headliner to find it rat and mouse dropping infested. Really? Wait until the car is painted to do the final disassembly? They were running out of time and couldn’t find interior parts yet the owner shows up with all new upholstery from Legendary that he wants us to believe he bought for $200.00.

The majority of these shows are produced for people who know nothing about cars and have no appeal to the knowledgeable car enthusiast.
