Thanks for the comments. This is a staggered bolt pattern.

Yes I know. I was just stating that the particular style of log design was close. Interesting they have 3 exhaust bolt mounting holes. Fords usually only had two.

Ok, I understand now.

Thanks Matt,

That almost looks like a typical 3-bolt header collector flange.

Do they fit the old Mark II 427 (looks similar to the MARKIV introduced in 1965) that came out for NASCAR in 1963 which some refer to as the "Mystery Motor"?

That is an interesting thought. I imagine it is a distant chance but just in case, does anyone have a head, exhaust manifold, or gasket from one of these engines?

Thanks,

Jason

The diagonal bolt arrangement is similar to the Mystery Motor but they are not for that motor. The ports are rectangular; the ports on the MM were basically round.

Re: Mystery Aluminum Exhaust Manifolds Can Anyone ID?

The reason I mention it is because the bolt alignment is correct, whereas everything else from every other manufacturer I found was different.

I thought X or 0 marked parts were usually GM prototype/engineering.

These are what the ports look like on a '63 427 Mystery Motor. There was a lot of head development work going on by Dick Keinath, so it may be possible that those manifolds might have been made for an earlier design port (for testing purposes). Unfortunately, Dick is no longer with us so that question will probably never be answered.

In case anyone was interested in these or knew what they fit and were biting their tongue, I just put them on Ebay at no reserve. I hope someone know what they are and can use them or make a fortune if they are rare.
