Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
How can I help......I was at the auction and put it on the rollback going to Columbus. The car is in Arizona with the restoration almost complete

Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
Have any pic's what the car looked like when it sold at auction?
Would have been a shame to change it from it's race look |
Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
The car was identical to the photo on the rollback when at the auction.....we inspected the car 2 weeks before the auction to verify that it was a real COPO.....BE was there....curve neck.....piercings.....no exterior badging.....BB heater box...Cowl relay .....brakes ....all the important signs were there along with 4,003 original miles

Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
Its a crime to change it from race car to cookie cutter restoration.

Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
This was truly a kick a$$ day 2 car to the fullest!! It was like a time capsule put away for all these years.. I'm really glad I got to see the car in person before it went away for restoration.. I would have kept the car the same with it's race history!!
Here are some shots I took of it... Myles engineering was the place for race motors in Cleveland back in the day and the Nolan Brothers were well known for their paint work!! Enjoy... Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
My wife always tells me to keep my eyes on the road whenever we are traveling the "back roads" of different areas......this is the reason my head is always on a swivel looking for barns, garages, etc., etc........

Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
I agree. I wouldn't have even washed it given what I know now.

Re: Please Help Me Find My Uncle's COPO
Thanks for the pic's I do remember the story awhile back.
Again they are only this way once! There are original COPO's for sale why ruin this one? What an absolute waste! <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Mr. Chevy</div><div class="ubbcode-body">This was truly a kick a$$ day 2 car to the fullest!!
