No kidding. My shop in TX charges $48.50 to do the alt, and the case. I plate the pulleys, fans,nuts. washers,ect myself. DL |

No one is reskinning cases,stamping CZ on case,purtting in dated diodes or using nos when available ,and shellacking internal parts and using all plated hardware for 48.00 shipped lets not kid ourselves.

Sammy, hook me up with your local guy, I need to get Ben's alt done. I have a nicely dated 834 for the '69 and have the DG pulley coming in from Ground Up.

Save yourself a whole lot of money and just rebuild it in accordance with the Chilton's Motor manual. If you need more info PM me and I'll eMail you the how to info for free.
I've rebuilt my own alternators, starters and distributors since 1972.
