Re: Looking for my old racecar
Dave,
I have Steves email adress if you send me a message. The Nova was a white with red strip 1970 396-375 orig. In 1969 or 1970, he pulled the ZL1 out of his 1966 Chevelle SS(Assassin)and switched motors with the Nova. The Nova motor is still in the Chevelle today here in Ca. I thought the Nova was also called the Assassin? Good luck, Jim |
Re: Looking for my old racecar
National Auto on Bustleton! What a place, a lot of us would limp our ride over there and fix the junker right there in the parking spot - never knew they sponsored a race car, very cool!

Re: Looking for my old racecar
I used to go to Islip all the time as a kid to watch the circle track we would sit in turn 2 with all the old school islip guys. Unfortunatly I was there the night the car went into the center and killed one of the pit crew it was the last time they ever pitted in the center of the track. I also heard tons of stories of the drag racing there. Good times.
