Dan..so sorry to hear..they really are a part of us and a little of us goes with them when they leave..I have two German short haired pointers that are 8....a brother and sister..Im dreading the day..........

Very sorry to hear about this Dan. You have had a rough couple of weeks to say the least and we feel your pain as we have gone through it a number of times. They are our kids. For people who do not have pets, they have no idea.

Man I've been there so I know exactly how you feel Dan. Nobody was closer to their dog than I was, the day he passed I felt like I lost one of my kids....truly my sympathy goes out to you and your family because the next few days will be difficult ones. Gods speed to Jax!

Dan, sorry to hear about the loss of your dog Jax. They say time heals but it still doesn't help sometimes. We too lost a dog a couple of years ago and it just plain sucks.

Sad news, so sorry for your loss..
I experienced it a few times growing up also a couple times in more recent years w/ my own kids..
With the kids we had short informal ceremonies outside holding hands around where the pets were buried, good closure also great beginnings for them on how to deal w/ feelings of loss later in life..
